64% of black households are led by single parents where the father is absent..
Tonight we will examine the role of fathers, and why so many black households lack them.

Many times, the end result of single-parent families with absent fathers is poverty, gang affiliation, jail, or a lack of education. What can we as single-parent fathers do to combat this issue?

We as black men first need to understand ourselves (ex.history culture etc) then we must understand white supremacy to see that these thing that’s put in front of us is here to systematically destroy the black culture (TV .the present state of music etc.) Then we’ll have a better understanding of how to break this cycle as black men, once this is achieved we will come to love and appreciate ourselves.

I’m a single parent father. This definitely hit home for me. I’ve had my child’s mom tell me the money I send isn’t enough and that really hurts because I send all I can. It’s said that I’m not a real father because I don’t live up to my child’s mom expectations. I agree that we should form a brotherhood so that we can help each other tackle these issues.
